SATURDAY EVENINGS, 22 FEBRUARY to 4 APRIL
STARTING AT 6PM, EXPECTED FINISH WELL BEFORE 8:30PM
Format:
The tournament
will be held in two sections:
Section 1: for players with NSWJCL ratings of 400 or more;
Section 2: for players with NSWJCL ratings below 400 or unrated.
Eligibility:
Players must
be members of the NSW Junior Chess League and aged under 18 as on the first day
of the tournament.

(if you
have already paid your membership fee for this year, please don't pay again!).

5D College, Level 5, 12 Thomas Street, Chatswood
Train or Bus: Two-minute walk from Chatswood Interchange (railway station and bus terminal)

Parking: There is no parking onsite, but parking is available in Westfield (5-minute walk, 3 hours free)

Number of Rounds: Section 1: 7 rounds (one each Saturday); Section 2: 13 rounds (two each Saturday, except one on last day)
Time Limits:
Section 1: 60 minutes per player plus 10 seconds per move (from move 1); Section 2: 30 minutes (no increment).
Players unfamiliar with chess clocks will be given guidance and practice before
play starts (please arrive 20 minutes early).
Important: If unable to play in any round please advise us well before that round's start time (phone 0480 178 219)
so that we can remove you from that round's draw, otherwise your opponent will have come for nothing.
Recording of Moves: Required (please ensure you know how to record)
Prizes: There will be trophies for the first three places in each section.
Entry Fees: $60 (and players must be current members of the NSWJCL – see Eligibility above)
Entry Deadline: two days before the tournament.
